Assistive Listening Devices (ALD’s)

Together we enjoy life

Sometimes hearing aids are insufficient, as users may encounter many challenges even with the best hearing aids on the market. Such challenges include:

  • The distance between the hearing aid and the speaker.
  • Noise in the user’s acoustic environment.
  • Reverberation in some auditoriums and classrooms.

Roger Systems

Roger is a digital wireless system that augments the use of hearing aids. It overcomes the distance and noise factors in noisy environments by sending the speaker’s voice directly and wirelessly to the user from a distance of up to 20 metres. It is composed of two parts: the Roger Microphone which accompanies the speaker or is attached to the sound source; and the Roger Receiver, which is connected to the user’s hearing aid, giving the speech signal a direct path to the user’s ear and separating it from noise. This system is compatible with all types of hearing aids and various brands of cochlear devices.
